Hello all,
I'm looking for some feedback on my demo reel. I'd consider this a first draft. There are 5 songs; 3 of which are RPG style....I suppose....lol. Any feedback, big or small would be greaaaaatttly appreciated.
The first song is entitled "Prolegomenon". It's a composition I wrote for orchestra about a year ago and intended to serve as battle music or just a background for an epic cutscene or such.
The second song, "Twice Reborn" is more of an intro to a game. I was watching a friend play Final Fantasy 12 from the beginning when I first started on it. The desert scenes inspired parts of it as well.
SONGS THREE AND FOUR ARE NOT FOR RPGs.
The fifth piece, "The Boss" is one of my favorites. It's not necessarily a 'boss battle', that's just the name. It's meant to serve as possible an intro or just to hype a game. I tried to build the tension from beginning to end. I also worked in a transition from an 8-bit sound to a full orchestra because I had never heard anything like that done before and curious of the results...anyways, I feel this piece is a tad bit empty, not sure what you guys will think. I would have liked to add in a choir but my choir sounds are pretty fake sounding.
[the audio quality on the final two songs is not up to par with the first three, on account of my iPod with the original files was stolen and my old PC died...not sure if I will redo them or not....
