UPDATE Jan. 22nd 2009!! - I've officially started working on my game again, life has been very hectic and crazy for the past year and I haven't had the time. I'm starting out this revival by releasing the Tech Demo that never fully got out last time around.

Travel the world of Kiiro as one of the immortals, a girl known as the Daughter of December, Chelsea Evendia.  Learn the secrets of the vampyre underworld as you discover who you are and how you came to be.

Chelsea Evendia -
    Once the daughter of a wealthy playright from a town called Yestrehaven.  A small town, yet very popular for it's theatrical influence.  Do too the masquerade of a vampyres life such an art is popular, using their truths to decieve.  At the age of 19 Chelsea had began acting in such displays eventually leading her into their sweet embrace.  And in this embrace a new love was found.  One that would lead her to a new world.

    In the beggining of the game even she does not know who she is.. or what.

Blood Lust feature (limit break technology)
    - Your blood lust meter will rise when you kill enemies.  Once you are in Blood Lust mode you can use specific Blood Lust feats or perform one of your regular feats at no cost plus double damage.  You can still do normal attacks in Blood Lust mode, it's the last option.

Blood Crystal Skill System (creds to guillaume777's multi-equip and Charlie Lee's Skill System)
    -Blood Crystals are obtained after a vampire is killed/dies and contain a skill directlly related to that vampire.  Each pc will also learn 3 of their own specific skills(or as they are called in the game, feats).

Feed yourself!
    - Although you can get blood vials to heal you in the game they are best saved for battle.  Instead you can drink the blood of any non-important npcs in the game.  Remember your a vampyre so if you don't consume blood on a regular basis YOU WILL DIE!

Weapon System (creds to Charlie Lee for his Weapon Enhancement Script)
    - Sorry to say but you don't get diffrent weapons through out the game.  I thought about it and I think my characters are better off with a personal weapon that has a meaning and story too it.  But you will find artifacts on your journey that will upgrade a specific weapon.  Some will be gained through the story to help with progression and others will need to be found.

I like the idea of constantly consuming blood as a vampire.
Your project sounds interesting, but watch your grammar, and elaborate on the plot and characters some more.
 
The premise seems very intriguing and I can't wait to see those screenshots. Im a pretty big fan of all Vampire characters and story-lines, so this is easily a must play on my list. Keep up the great work, The Urchin. I look forward to it.

I love the premise. I love the names. I love how you spelled vampyre with a 'y'.

I would have loved to see 'all original graphics' in the list of features, but the story and character descriptions alone make up for it, due to sheer coolness.

Sorry for the very small amount of character and story info but it would ruin the game to give you any more information. A big part of the beggining of the game is the fact that Chelsea doesn't remember who she is...

And yes their is def custom graphics but i don't find that to be a feature.
 
Great one! I love the premise and would really want to see how you can pull this one, especially the "Feed yourself" feature. Anyway, we want some images! Screenie, and characters. Also, I think you really should change the logo there...
 
Hey I was wondering, are you going to use the vampire script, where you press a button and you kill people, then your gauge fills up?

oOoo... That would be pretty cool. This game sounds like its gonna be fun.
 
I had posted more stuff but when i went to update the post it said i already updated it or something (which i didn't) but here's a few things then i guess till later.
 
Kudos for the character names and premise.

I have to say though, in my opinion, an ABS would be much more suitable for the drink blood system.

Oh and extra points for the 'y' in vampyre =x

I disagree, abs systems cause way to much lag in my oppinion and I honestlly don't like ABS.  The drink blood is evented as well as the blood loss.  It was simplier then wiping a babies bottom, and much less messy.  You can drink the blood of any of those little furry woodland creatures by holding the r button when you use the action button.
 
Mwahahaha!  Well their you guys go, I've been working pretty hard latelly and haven't updated in a little.  But I think it was worth the wait, theirs a lot of new stuff up their for you guys to look at.
 
Wow, gotta show my little sister this. Her name's Chelsea, too, and she's obsessed with vampyres... it's always good when someone uses the classical spelling...

So I've been thinking about making epic boss battles.  Let me explain.  When your fighting a "boss" battle instead of the regular side-view battle you go to a "boss map" and fight the boss using certain strategies.  Possiblly event based unless I can find the right abs script. 

So let's have an example;
The first boss battle is against a werewolf.  This is a basic battle were you hit, hit, and then when he starts attack  you back off.  He would be slow but powerful.  So with the hit a withdraw strategy you should have no problems.

But lets look at a more difficult example;
Evia Deimossa is one of the many vampires you will fight.  He uses a "Chain Blade", a extremelly fast weapon but not that powerful.  Still it will more often then not knock you on your ass.  He'll use a fairlly recognizable attack pattern, and after one certain attack he will be immobolized.  That would be the time in which you would want to attack.  Note:  This will be a fairlly long battle.

And I wouldn't do that to boss battles.  I utterly hate it when games have normal battles, but then switch to a different style for special enemy battles that is three times as hard as the normal battles.

It wouldn't be any harder.  Just a little more thinking is envolved...  That and actual movement.  I'de like a few more oppinions then I'll make my decision.

EDIT: By the way.  I really need another spriter if anyones interested.  I believe I have another person spriting but I think I need at least 3 people on it including me.  My work load as it is has me doing anywhere form 3-5 sprites at a time, mapping, databasing, not to mention writting and creative brainstorming and some small amount of scripting.  I have a recruitment page up if your interested in helping in the project.
