Death

Death is a story of, you guessed it: Death. In death you play as the reaper. Sent on a

mission to reap a powerful lich, whom has been evading death death fails his mission

and is killed. The time he is away (it takes of course a while for death to come back, I'd

say months) several other demons and such are past their prime so to speak. Death

has to take back the souls that belong to the underworld, and restore his power so he

can defeat the powerful lich and finish the mission he was first given.
Death will have a selection of classes to choose from, and weapon types. I have not

yet determined if each class will have to be unlocked, or if he can just use the class

changer. The classes I have so far include:

Reaper(fighter)
The reaper can equip either one scythe, or two swords, or a sword and a shield. The

reaper is the class he starts as and includes scythe and sword skills. Skills are made

in different levels, so far I only have 5 levels for each skill, and I hope to implement a

skill shop system or at least skill levelups as rewards for certain tasks.

Soulthief(thief)
Soulthief can equip daggers. Either one dagger, or two. Soulthiefs have dagger skills,

and are fairly agile with empthasis on speed rather than damage.

Soulsniper(archer)
Soulsniper can equip bows, and cross bows. Soulsnipers can be considered ranged

soulthiefs with empthasis on speed and such.

Necromancer(mage)
Necromancer can equip wands, and staffs. Necromancers will have dark magic along

with elemental (fire, ice, lightning) poision will also be a major asset to the

necromancer. I have yet to finish (or even really start) necromancers skills but expect

a very large number of skills.

A very large part of the game will include the collection of souls. When enemies are

defeated, there will be a chance to take their soul. Once a soul is acquired it can be

turned into a summon of the monster it once was, turned into a accessory that gives

stats similar to what the creature had (for example fire monster souls will produce soul

accesorries that give resistance to fire), or it can be sythesized into a weapon (the last

being a work in progress)
Death will include scripts such as:

Dynamic shadows, sun effect, mirror effect, reflection effect
These scripts are modified and released by Rataime.

Interactive Mouse system

I still will add more scripts, and in the mean time I am tweaking and testing all sprites

for compatability
I have started this game weeks ago on my own. I am posting it here now since I

decided to stop what I was doing and restart. The problem was my maps, I just can't

make maps well. Therefore i decided not to let my map making skills hold this game

back, and to post it here in hopes that a mapper can help me make this game to its

potential. Currently I am working on finding scripts and adding them, along with testing

their functionability. I am also working on the database. I would however really

appreciate;

Mapper(s)
Anyone that can make maps so I can add the events and such I would really

appreciate. I am using mainly the tilesets that came with the game, if you know of

custom ones you can work well with please do so. Some areas I will include is ruined

churches, hell, ghost towns, haunted forests, graveyards and other dark settings. I

need at least someone who can work about once every two weeks minimum. If you

want to help but think you can't work that little I can still put you in a mapping position

and if someone else also wants to help mapping you can work less.

Sprite makers
Anyone that can make sprites, sprites that are dark and possibly "scary" is welcome. I

admire Insomniacmgs (i think thats his name) work, and if you can do stuff like that

you're in. Dead bodies with lots of blood, skeletons, demons etc.

Scripter
Anyone that can make scripts is very welcome. Some scripts are not compatabile and

I am doing my best to tweak but I am no scripter. Also I cannot get some scripts i

really want to work. If you can help make custom scripts, or tweak scripts you are

more than welcome to help.
Anyone that has anything to offer is welcome. Composers, database writers, event

scripters (such as myself smile.gif) is welcome to help.

Everyone that joins of course gets full credit. Right now a mapper is really needed to

get started, but people that can do other jobs would really be a help so I can get nice

sprites and scripts before the game starts to be mapped. I hope to have a demo within

a month. Any questions you have you can ask here, or you can pm me.

Though your premise is interesting, it is not that appealing to read. You might also want to consider using spoiler boxes.

Part of this thread should go into the recruitment forum. I would suggest that you only leave up pertinent info about your game in the new projects forum and then make a new thread asking for help in the recruitment forum.
