Dark City Concept
History:
First to note, this is a divergent universe that splits from realities timelines in the year 2000.
In the year 2000 American scientists discovered that with new memristor technology coupled with the theory of using radio waves as a bus instead of cables that they could create an effective AI, using the memristor as a central brain that sent said radio waves to each unit of the body. The issue with it was, however that a central computer was needed to store the data this unit was putting out. This technology advanced in 2005 to allow the storing of past experiences within a central ram segment (coined the Medulla Superior) so the AI could learn without the help of a central computer station. In 2008 the first combat ready model was created. It was called simply "Android". In 2010 it was released to the public (the same public who knew nothing about its existence or creation until that point.) The unveiling of "Android" caused the Japanese military to seek it own way to create a similar device. It, over the course of three years, failed and the Japanese military started seeking an alternative.
Meanwhile the American military actively started wartime construction of the "Android" causing many other countries (China, Great Britton, and Japan just a few.) to stockpile nuclear weapons. In 2013 Japanese scientists using advanced cloning technology, took the genes of themselves and combined it with those of frogs. Within two years of this testing they created the first true "anthropomorphic animal", (a frog) calling him Hehkek (pronouced hEE-kEEck) after the Egyptian frog gods. Although not an exceptional fighter Hehkek proved to be slightly more intelligent that the scientist who created him. Hehkek soon joined the team to create more battle worthy anthros.
In 2014 Japan rounded up what they believed to be the best of their gene pool and started testing these genes with more viscous animals. Although the scientists had issues keeping more viscous animals instincts in check in the year 2016 the scientist created the first battle worthy anthro, Fenrir, his animal counterpart, a wolf. Fenrir proved a perfect warrior, both strong and intelligent. The Japanese scientist started mass creating the anthros in every type of animal they could get their hands on.
In 2029 (I know its a big skip in timeline but until then the cold war is just increasing in intensity and the anthros a being created and bred.) the cold part of the war dissolves as America sends the Androids into China. China, almost helpless to the android advance seek help from Japan's anthro army. In that skirmish and the many that followed the anthros dominated the Androids. Unfortunately, although china was rebuking the assault they made the decision to use nuclear weapons. America was decimated with the exception of three cities. New York, D.C., and Los Angeles. (Be aware that all of these were ground blasts so there was little to no fallout.) America, in response unleashed their full nuclear payload onto China. (also ground blasts.)These blasts destoyed almost the entire Android army (only ten survived and were later called “The Progenitors”) and wiped out the anthro army that was stationed there (about 1/3 of the total anthro population.), it also killed almost every human in China, the remaining people fled to Japan.
Seeing their brothers killed for China caused the remaining anthros to revolt and kill the scientists that created them. The anthros then scattered to the far corners of the world and bred. (At that time the anthro population was about a million. )
Meanwhile in America, the Android progenitors, not having to worry about nuclear radiation, began reconstructing the factories to make their own Android army and destroy the anthros…

Haven – Anthro – Chaotic Good
The Haven is made up of the surviving Russian and Japanese anthros. They strive to free every anthro and break the oppression they feel. The Haven base is located on a remote Japanese island. The present leader is Ivan Keyes, a wolf anthro with a big heart and swift talons.
The Knights of Gorgon – Anthro/Android – Lawful Evil
The Knights of Gorgon are the antithesis of Haven, bringing in new blood via slavery and strong-arming. Strangely, The Knights of Gorgon is the only place were Androids and Anthros work toward one goal. Unfortunately that goal is the eradication of the human race. The Knights of Gorgon base is located in Los Angelus, in a place called The Temple of Gorgon. The current leader is an Android known simply as Krazer.
United States National Guard – Human – Lawful Neutral
After the nuclear holocaust, only the Guard was left to pick up the pieces of humanity. And they did a damn good job. Bunkering down in what is left of D.C., the Guard has managed to enslave thousands of anthros and rebuild the District. The base is located in the White House in D.C. The current leader is a hardnosed ex-marine named Leonard Rusher.
FFOBR (Federation for Freedom Between Races) – Human/Anthro – Lawful Good
FFOBR strives to bring the Anthros and the Humans closer in harmony. Constantly battling the Knights of Gorgon and the National Guard, they have managed to stand true and wrestle a little piece of Canada for themselves. There base is located in a secluded forest. Unlike the other factions, FFOBR is run by a council of elders called the King’s Circle.
The Factory – Android – Chaotic Evil
According to members of the Factory, Androids are the supreme beings. The Knights of Gorgon are disgusting for allowing the Mutts to fight beside them. Little is known about the Factory or its leader, but the base itself is said to be in Chicago.

Factions and races battle for control of what’s left of the world. Xenophobic humans fight rage filled anthros and all is being watched by the mysterious androids. Someone must come out on top, and you might just be the deciding factor…
