This is going to be my new project. Hopefully, I will stick with it until it is finished unlike many of my other projects.

Imagine a world where levels don't just determine your power, and skills. In this world, they hold the key to your destiny, and what you can and can't do.

If your level is low, people believe that you are unimportant, and will tell you different things. Everything revolves around your character's levels.

Not only do you have your levels, but monsters are also levelled. At certain levels, enemies also learn new skills. Higher levelled enemies are found in the areas where the higher levelled humans train themselves, or in areas of darkness.

The game will also feature quest guide-type books called Chaos Theories. Some of these can make good things happen, others make bad things happen. Whether or not you do what the chaos theory tells you is up to you, and through this, you could completely change the story.

  • Chaos Theory Viewing Script
  • Certain people, if you talk badly, or chaos theories that aren't good will reduce your Levels.
  • Lots of my own "Secret" scripts.

Sounds quite interesting, I'm interested in finding more about this chaos theory and how the leveling system will work. Hope you can get more information out soon. Good luck!
 
Interesting concept, from a personal point of view I'm not sure about the emphasis on levelling up. But technically I can see nothing wrong with the concept, and it sounds like you've got some good ideas in there.
 
Thanks guys! Here's some more of my concept, I'll update the first post later

The world, usually, is a nice place. Everyone can do as they please. Everybody levels up so that they can compete in the Sacred Tournaments, which come once a month. (I might add in a time system there.) The Sacred Tournaments take place to please the 'Gods' and the other people in the world.

When in the game, you can compete in these tournaments, though they are not the sole purpose of your quest.
 
This idea sounds really unique and interesting. You have something original here. If you can pull it off that is. It sounds like a lot of work. Definatly good luck as I would love to try something like this.
 
Didn't think everyone would be this interested. I'm starting the actual game soon, so keep in this thread for the screenies and demos!

I'm also going to add into this 'Underground Contests' where you can fight others... but Underground Contests are illegal, and you could be reduced by a few levels if you are caught taking part in one. Not sure how to work this in yet, but I probably will find a way lol.

Also, you have fun starting the game at Level 95 :P Hehe, will tell you more in my first little demo.

Also working on an uber-cool ONeDude CMS. May make some Summon characters too. Can't edit them from the menu though, but they'll be fun.

Lol, sounds like your making something that players can't do.
TBH, It would be a bit shab. In my opinion anyways, unless a game player makes one.

You could make illeagal Guild battles? Or summat. lol.

But in any case, I like the idea.

Ruby's Demo Promise:
The demo will be available, at the latest, Monday night (18th December).

ALso, does anyone think that this would be a bad idea
Like on the Pokemon games there are trainers... do you think I shoiuld have some of these other than random encounters (or with random encounters)? I dunno whether they'd be a bad idea.

Feedback on this point, please.
