Custom Music?

No, this isn't a question about music and how to add it in. I wanted to know the rules about music and if you can use it in your game that you want to make public. I'm getting most my music from newgrouds so I wouldn't think it'd be that bad, right? Or do I still need special permission from the authors, and what if I'm not releasing a game in public? Do I still need to follow the rules? Only wanted to know if it's bad to take it from newgrounds as their music is not copyrighted and wouldn't do to much hard I would think. It says I have to give them credit if I use it in their work, but I just wanted to know enterbrain's rules on this.

As long as you follow the rules applied on newgrounds, you can avoid law suits. However, to be safe, be sure to take pictures and videos of every solitary one, Just incase you ever go to court =P

The rules of the Audio Portal are when music is uploaded, it's basically under a law that gives anyone the freedom to use it as long as they credit the creator.

Rether, no matter how easy or hard for the musicians creating their music, there is ALWAYS a need to ask permission of usage or creditting. Well unless they say its free for commercial use.
