Story
The four Legendary Sages were masters of the four elements of life: Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water. One horrible night, they witnessed something they would not believe. A war broke out between their nations, using magic to fight. The Sages tried to stop them, but it was useless, for the people had already made their mind. They couldn't do anything but witness the horrible battle.
Days, weeks passed... the war continued.
In a desperate attempt to stop this nonsense, the sages decided to seal magic in hopes of stopping this and preventing any other future wars. One dark night, the sages performed a ritual to seal the four elements into crystals, and scatter them across the land, far from mankind's reach. The sealing ritual was a success, but the sages where nowhere to be found. The people will never forget the great sages' efforts.
As time passed, the continents began to search for the crystals, year after year they grew closer to finding them.
A prophecy tells that an evil being will steal the power of the crystals and use it to forge the land as he sees fit. But four brave heroes will emerge and defeat the evil before that happens, and then they must seal the crystals themselves to keep the land at peace, thus the prophecy repeats itself every 2,000 years.
And now, 2,000 years have passed since the elements of life were sealed away...
The Earth Continent: The second largest of the four. Home of the most proud warriors of the land, guided by a noble king. Gaia is believed to be the resting place of the Earth Crystal.
The Wind Continent: The smallest of the four. Consisting of six small islands surrounded by the ocean. No longer at war with the other continents. Notus, the largest of the six islands is believed to be the resting place of the Wind Crystal.
The Water Continent: The second smallest of the four, and the only nation able to practice magic. Rumors say that the water crystal has been leaking out it's power for some time. No longer wanting to be a part of the war, the Water Continent formed a peace treaty with the Wind Continent, but failed to negotiate with the Earth and Fire Continent. Naiades is believed to be the resting place of the Water Crystal.
The Fire Continent: The largest of the four. Ranging from deserts to the north pole. A nation with fierce and merciless warriors led by a king who seeks ultimate power. Hestia is believed to be the resting place of the Fire Crystal.

Up in the sky... above the ocean... you can see an island floating above. The Floating Continent. Some say there are people... who do not know the meaning of war, that live there. Legends say that the elements of destruction: Light and Dark, were created in that place. The Floating Continent is also the place which the sealing ritual took place.

For example: sandstorms will affect your characters' vision (DEX), heavy rain in swamps will slow you down (AGI), the cold wind will make you weak (STR), and misterious fog will make it hard to think straight (INT). There may be other things like monsters or objects that will affect your party's stats (positively or negatively).
