Critique my mapping?

Hi everyone I've been working on the world map for my game and I've been using the layers for mountains differently than intended I believe. I stack the auto tiles to make it look like 2 different heights of mtns and such. I just wanted peoples feedback on what I can fix/ work on with my mapping and if anything just looks wrong that I'm not seeing it because I want it to look right.

this would be a better place for this:

As for the maps;
They're pretty descent (I'm not a fan of that tileset though, but that's preference). I suggest you'd remove those trees on top of the mountains (third map) though. Also, that chess piece (second map)is looking quite strange over there, you might want to change that.

@AbyssalLord It's probably temporary

      Thanks for the feed back, and yes I know that Chess peice looks weird its going to be a custom charset when I can get one made I just put it there as a place holder. I will also be using different charsets, but I'm not sure if I mind the size difference. The battles in my game will have the charset being the battler, and some of the battles will take place directly on the world map. I dont plan on having the world map be exactly "real" in perspective to the game. Meaning the way towns look on the outside wont be how they look when you get inside as in their layouts and sizes. If I could make my own tilesets that wouldn't be so  :down:.

Thanks for that link also I didn't see that sub-section in those forums.  :thumb: And does anyone else have an opinion of the trees on the mountains? I had tried many diffferent ways of doing it and thought the way I did them didn't look too bad.
