I felt like showing off all the battlers I've made. The good The bad and the ugly. Seeing them all together like this really put things in perspective. I've been drawing battlers for a few years now and I've improved so much I get giddy thinking about it. Instead of uploading each one by themselves I crammed them together into different sections. You might recognize some of them since I uploaded a lot to the Download manager when it was still working.
Requests: I pretty much hang out in the resource section of this site. I've done a lot of requests (mostly sprites and recolors). Even though most of them said they liked the battlers I made, I think most of them look like crap. I think my biggest problem early on was that I was drawing too small and the lines weren't crisp. I'm most proud of the Water Nymph and Robotic centipede.
Non Requests: I really wanted to make a series of my own battler resources. But I couldn't keep a constant style or quality. I started out with monsters because I was afraid to draw human characters. I started drawing new elementals: Gold, Shadow, Void ect... I when I did start drawing human characters I tried to match the default rtp style, the closest I ever got was the Gunner. I am proud of the Female scroll user for some reason, even though it didn't match the style I was going for it still looks good.
A Wayward Dream characters: I think these look good because I tried really hard to make sure they all worked together and were sized the same way. The game went through a lot of changes including changing the main character. The playable characters had different clothes, a rag version when they went undercover. All of them have their good points, I can't really say I hate them (yet). I really like the design for the evil guy with the stone, and the duo to the right have the best poses and look great together.
