Hi everyone, I'm CottonSlug, I just downloaded the RMVX demo, and am hoping to get into RPG Making.   I found these forums through God...I mean Google.  I'm pretty new to this whole thing, but I guess I'm just looking for some friendly people to hang out with and possibly help me out on the way.

Well an imagination is helpful to designing any game role playing or otherwise. The talent doesn't necessarily have to lie in the realm of RMXP either. You can be a writer, or an artist, or an evil emperor who collects the souls of the unwilling to realize his ultimate plan. Although the last one is already taken by Despain, artist and writers are always a welcome addition to a project.

Like King High Most Pretentious said, you don't actually have to use RMXP or RMVX to be an active and appreciated member of the forums. You could be an artist.
Look at me, for example. I haven't opened the editor in a few weeks, because I haven't felt the need. Other people do the gamemaking, and I'm the artist, which suits me fine.
Anyways, to bring this back on track, I hope you enjoy whatever part(s) of the gamemaking process you end up doing.

Thanks gratheo, I've written a lot in the past, and it appears that writing seems to be an "in-demand" job, so I guess that's my talent so far.  I'd like to expand it into the actualy design and creation and so forth of the game itself.
