Hi, I just bought the English version of RMXP, and now whenever I start a new file and test play it, even without editing it, the character won't move properly. It will automatically move left, and when I press right, he moves up. Any other direction stops him. I can't get anything done when this is going on. I searched around the forum and found one other thread with the problem http://www.rmxp.org/forums/showthread.php?t=21030 but none of the suggestions helped me. I tried reinstalling, restarting the computer, plugging the keyboard in to a new port (which disabled the keyboard completely. Anyone know how to change the keyboard port? That might be the problem.) and nothing worked. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

that is a really odd issue.

well i doubt this will fix it, but are you using a ps/2 keyboard or usb keyboard? if you're using ps/2, try buying a usb keyboard and testing it.

it's in the usb port, and i have a ps/2 adapter that fits, but if i change the keyboard to another usb or ps/2 port it isn't detected anymore and i have to move it back.

I've had the same problem with my usb keyboard. Try switching it to the ps/2 then restarting the computer. It worked for me. What brand keyboard is it btw?

I edited my keyboard settings when I had this problem with another program. I have no idea what I did, at least I don't remember. Just got lucky. Check to see if anything in the control panels appears off, cause that's where I looked.
