[Background]

Which world you're going to play in.

The kingdom of Alveria, a peaceful kingdom for generations. Ruled by the Alveria family every inhabitant of the kingdom was happy. Garrain were known to be ‘strong’ kings, never doing something the easy way. Because some kings always ventured outside, dressed as peasants to attract no attention, it was decided that every newborn heir to the throne got the king’s mark. The mark, a simple crown, was branded where the heart was. This way it was easily hidden from the public, but easily shown when needed. Every heir also got training in a weapon of their choice, so they could defend themselves from attacks when outside.

Everything changed when two neighbour kingdoms, Kerall and Vanerna, started a war over border issues. On the border between the two kingdoms lay a thick forest, both claimed that the forest belonged to their kingdom. Kerall was the stronger of the two, but had trouble with the guerrilla tactics of the Vanernan soldiers. Both kingdoms urged Alveria to join their side, using reasoning to explain why the forest should be theirs. Gregory Alveria, king during that war, decided to, unlike kings who ruled before him, take the easy way out. This enraged the peasants who favoured the kingdom of Vanerna, who helped them in earlier wars against Kerall.

The peasant started to revolt, and even though the king’s army was stronger and better equipped, the peasant rebels won battles. The reason was simple, a large portion of the king’s army, how loyal it was, refused to fight the peasants. The portion that fought the peasants just couldn't cope with their guerrilla tactics. So eventually the king was pinned down, with only his castle left. The battle for Tyrigia was the last battle of the civil war, and the only time the two armies fought head on. The remnants of the king’s army were far outnumbered by the peasants, and traitors. Gregory told the remnant of his army to flee, as he would do the same. So the last battle of the war, was an empty battle, a bloodless battle.

The king ran, and together with his wife lived his life in exile. When the rebels heard of the king’s escape they sent out scouts throughout Alveria, to try and find Gregory, and kill him. Herall Erginn crowned himself the ruler of Alveria, ruling the country as a tyrant. Scattered followers of the last king have founded, The King’s Soldiers, pledging loyalty to the Alverian family. In response Herall has placed spies in every city, and town. These spies keep an eye out for the illegal group, and report whenever members of the group are spotted, using telepathy to reach the archmages of the tyrant.

Using this method the tyrant has managed to completely destroy the rebel group within a decade. The scouts sent to find the old king found him after almost fifteen years, forcing Gregory and his family to live like nomads. The scouts lost them, and everything seemed over for Gregory and his family.

Though Alveria still is one Nation, it's about to fall apart. The peasants who started the uprising some years ago, wanted Alveria to be a strong nation. But still other kingdoms laugh at this Nation, the only reason they don't invade Alveria is that they don't want to clean up the mess it is now.

Centaurs[Faction, led by Noreck]
The centaurs, are creatures of myths, most people never meet them, some are fighting them each day. Unlike with the orcs, the humans have declared war. The tyrant sends a campaign to destroy centaur outposts every week, and the centaurs ride out almost every day to raid villages nearby their territory.

Orcs[Faction, led by Grumle
Orcs are considered a plague by the humans, and are therefore avoided as much as possible. Until recently the Orcs and humans weren't at war, though recent raids by Orcs may change that.

Red Cloaks[Faction, led by Argon]
The Red Cloaks is a faction of strong warriors, considered the strongest by many. They are also the mercenaries of Alveria, almost every mercenary is a red cloak.

Hidden Shadows[Faction, led by Sleow]
The hidden shadows, not much is know about them. This is because they stay hidden deep in the forests of Alveria, though they tend to avoid centaur territory.

Traders Company[Faction, led by Yres]
The traders faction, protecting every merchant, at least they try to. Most of the time they hire mercenaries to accompany the merchants on their journeys. Every merchant is part of this company, as most don't have enough money to hire protection themselve. This is also the only faction which asks payment of their members.

[Plot]
--------------------

Who are you, and what's your role.

You are Gregory's grandson, and live with your father and mother the life as a nomad. Unlike your father you don't have the king’s sign branded on you, instead you carry a henna tattoo of the sign. “This will remind you of what you are, in your heart, and what you will fight for.”, at least that's what your father told you. You had a nice live, but when you grew older you noticed that he seemed distant, as if he were somewhere else. One night, when you want to talk with your father about your concerns, you get ambushed by a band of orcs. You manage to escape, but only after getting badly wounded. After a while of running you collapse. You wake up three days later, in a small town called Irial.

Its eight years later now, you decided to stay in Irial, and are an apprentice fighter. Your master is Rigran, an expert on melee combat. After a long and hard day of training you fall in a deep sleep, having a strange dream. Eiran, the town elder, gets brutally murdered. When you wake up guards enter your house, and imprison you. At first you're confused, nobody's telling you what happened. Then you hear the news, you remember the dream. You know that it wasn't you, but everything points your way. A small council sentence you to death. That night the wife of the town elder helps you escape, you don't know why, but don't hesitate. You escape the town, and on the way out you grab family items from your house.

With no life left you decided to travel to Orinn, The main port city of Alveria, to leave behind Alveria... And you family name.

Description: You meet him at a local pub in Orinn, where he ends up in a brawl with a group who hate orcs. He looks rough, and he is rough, one of the toughest warriors around. His life as mercenary made him tough, his motto is: “For the right price I'll do everything.”

Sera Albian
Age: 14
Sex: Female
Class: Adept
WoC: Staff of the Phoenix(Basic staff for elemental adepts who specialise in fire magic.)
Description: Sera is a young girl who wishes to be the next great mage for the tyrant's army. Throughout the game you will meet her only a couple of times, joining your group to help with a mission.

Short description: This class is there to protect other people from harm, perfect for escort missions. Skill are more focused on defending then attacking, some skills are shouts to warn your party members.

Weapon of Choice: Two handed swords
Armour Type: heavy(no shields)
Short description: Unlike the white version, these knights prefer offence over defence. In battle they use shouts to increase their own, and other’s, attack. Their skills are more focused on the offence.

Class: Fearmonger(not mentioned on chart, placed after berserker next to axefiend, and hammerfiend)
Weapon of Choice: Scythes
Armour Type: gauntlets,helms and Boots
Short description: This is the first of three beastly classes. Carrying almost no armour(or clothes), uses basic skin skills to enhance their defence. In battle they use intimidation to weaken their opponent. With their scythe they quickly kill whole gangs of enemies

Weapon of Choice: Two handed axes
Armour Type: gauntlets and Boots
Short description: The second beastly class, and the most gruesome of the three. This class relies on pure massacre to kill their enemies. Chopping of arms to keep other from attacking. Like the other two this class has attack, the highest of the three.

Class: Hammerfiend
Weapon of Choice: Two handed hammers
Armour Type: gauntlets and Boots
Short description: The last of the three beastly classes, from the three this is the annoyer class. Hammerfiends rely on inducing statuses to increase their odds of winning. Unlike the other three this class uses advanced skin skills to take on the role of tank before they charge into the enemy.

Short description: The adventurer class is the beginning of the classes which are merely concerned about themselves. Adventurers are able to survive long journeys on their own, without to much trouble.

Short description: Toughened by a life on the road, you have decided to put your experience to use, helping people for money. This class tends to only help themselves, increasing their own stats, then dish out damage to whole groups

Short description: Survivalists tend to shy away from other human, always solving things on their own. Their skills are focused on survival, mixing different tactics.

Short description: Phalanxes are the the first warriors to enter battle, in every fight. This class is the strongest when when in large parties, raising the stats of the whole party.

Short description: Skirmishers are the human answer to the centaurs, for the simple reasons that most men don't have enough money to hire enough horsemen for a camaign against the centaur faction.

Weapon of Choice: One handed weapons.
Armour Type: Medium
Short description: Lone Wolves have perfected the way to live on your own. They only care about themselves, adn their skill shows that.

Short description: The scout class offers a diverse future, they prefer to use bows to attack from a distance. But most scouts carry at least on basic knife to dish out damage in close.

Armour Type: Light, no shields
Short description: Like Survivalists, Rangers tend to shy away from civilisation. Only for a different reason, they just prefer to live in forests. This is the first step in using the nature to your advantage, enhancing your stats with nature’s power.

Short description: Thieves are the lowest scum in Alveria, they rely on their speed and skill to hide in shadows.

Short description: Naturalists have taken a step closer to mother nature, using nature's powers to help themselves or the party. Some skills can call animals into battle

Weapon of Choice: Long range bows, daggers
Armour Type: Medium, no shields
Short description: Snipers have mastered the art of marksmanship, granting them the skill to attack at long distances. Though they prefer long range attacks, they can camouflage themselves when the heats get to close, and dish out deadly strikes up close.

Short description: Assassins are renowned for their ability to vanish into the shadows, then get close for an instant kill. They als use many types of poisons to turn the tide of battle

Short description: With great agility, and dexterity, they are able to quickly kill a target. Though this is a very powerfull class, Duelists are mostly hired to entertain people, rather then to kill.
