Compress game down to single playable exe

Is this possible...does anybody know a program, or how to accomplish this?

I know aveyond did this. I just dont know how.

I believe quintessence did this as well. It has something to do with having ruby installed on your computer and some special files. Look for "Protect your game from decompilers!" I think... >_>
