Lol, the title is cute as hell but the sprite needs a lot of work. It's a lot easier to recolor something in programs other than MS Paint. That's what I assume you used because of the incredibly random palette for the hair :'D

Nice attempt, keep plugging away. You'll get it in time.

Actually I use Photoshop CS2.

I haven't done this type of art for a long while so I'm very rusty :)

I just use the pencil tool and do one pixel at a time, so I guess it is a bit random on parts.

No that's the hard way to do it, and if you have PS you especially don't have to do it that way.

Arshes' hair only uses like 8 colors, I think. Just select those colors and change the coloration, saturation, and brightness levels. You'll get a much nicer result.

You can also do a palette swap and that usually comes out better, but it involves a little more skill (in choosing palette colors).

Oh I know all those fancy ways (I'm sadly subjected to the program every day of the week at university). But I was trying to do something one pixel at a time and that was the result, I know it's not great, but when making your own sprites from scratch there is no easy way to do it other than pixel by pixel, and the idea of this was to try to achieve that (which sadly I have failed at in this case).

But hey, can't make an omelet without breaking eggs. :)

If you are using CS2, I'd recommend making an extra layer for your palette, and using only those colors, rather than your more diverse palette. Also, instead of redrawing the hair each time, I'd copy it over and make a few small changes, if at all.

Can't make an omelet without breaking eggs? Bah.

Contrast is now too low ;_;

Really, though, Seridethus, allow some more people to post before replying. Replying after every post isn't very productive. I know you may be excited, but let people discuss :')

I'm not really excited, but I had little else to do at 4AM.

Anyway, please delete topic.

Thank  you for your cooperation.
