That's pretty badass, but I can't help but look at the worm's mouth and see a vagina. Great lines--I'm enjoying the dude's musculature particularly--and your coloring technique is great, but I feel like your color choice could have been a bit more united, maybe. Like maybe if you picked more similar highlight/shadow colors. Looking nice, anyway!

It's pretty badass for sure, but I feel like the dark shades need to be deeper. Action-packed scenes need to really push the blacks & super dark elements, to make them feel more grave & dangerous. Playing with the black values & contrast could go a long way here.
Also the typesetting feels weak, somehow.

I don't want to be a party pooper, but vaginas don't exactly look like this; there is a certain similarity with the fleshy, pink tube, but the opening doesn't look like a vulva.
That said, it's really nice; I like Peri's recoloring a bit more, but comics are known for being over the top (traditional comics at the very least, not those fancy Moore et. al. comics), and bright coloring might be spot on.

I actually see more of a colon when looking at the worm's mouth.

In any case, it really probably SHOULD be gross/really organic looking, so there's not much of a prob there.
But if you think about it, worms never really have red innards. Their innards are always roughly the pigment of the rest of them. They're not comprised of meat, in the animal-sense, so you can probably get more creative with the coloring.
Little Shop of Horrors comes to mind: Audrey II. The inside of his mouth was purple/blue.
That's probably how they got around the "that looks like a cooter" stigma.

ha, thanks for the replies and advice. I was trying to post earlier but i cant for the life of me rember my password and the windows xp partition has it saved . So its taken this long to get back. I already turned it in so its kinda done now. I shoulda preserved luminosity but whatever. Its done now. I had a couple people tell me it looks like a vagina and this is going to a paper with alot of teenage readers.
