Hello,
I've been thinking, my new job offers me opportunity that I haven't had before in the past. One of the primary reasons I stopped drawing in late 2006 was the system I was using became inadequate for handling the software for drawing large scale, add to that I could just not get used to the look there and draw down here approach of a standard tablet (greatly reduced the stroke length due to inaccuracy.) I also want to go to being a paperless artist, I dislike the tracking of individual pieces of artwork, I'm more comfortable with digital medium (I'm also far more organized digitally.)
So, since the price of a Cintiq 21UX is actually something I can afford (with much less effort compared to my previous job,) I've been thinking I should get back into the swing of things. I'll have a three-display setup, the 30" display from HP, the original HP 1080P 23" display and then the Cintiq tablet/display.
Since the price of such an item is high, this is something I'll need to think on before I make the plunge, so I figured I'd get some insight first. The hardware issue is no longer a concern, and I have a genuine interest in getting back into drawing (if you've stopped drawing for a while, you might understand that there's a nagging feeling saying you need to draw, as strange as that sounds.)
Insight welcome.
