Hello and well met to all of you at rmxp!

I've been browsing ye olde boards over at gamefaqs, and this site has come up quite a few times, so I finally decided to mosey on over here, and see what I shall see.

With that said, I hope to learn a thing or two, as I learn the ropes of all things RPG Maker. Though I must forewarn that I've many a question.

Also, is there much difference between the XP and VX versions?

VX has improved RGSS and some auto features along with built in Parallax (which is awesome)
However XP has mapping that's much less square than VX mapping (VX mapping ugghhh)
Developing custom graphics is much easier for XP than it is for VX

Also I believe that XP is more supported, but i may be wrong

And yeah, I can see where it's frustrating to create a map, and things being a bit on the blocky side. Moreso when you try to make things look as orgainc as you can.

Also In my opinion XP is better than VX, but trying both trials always helps people develope their own opinions on the software.
