charset creator?

hello i cant seem to find a sprite creator tool i searched everywhere oh well, so could anywhere direct me to one so i can download it please! sorry for not much description but you should get the point a crappy one will do thanks in advance  ;D

I'd recommend something like Photoshop, The GIMP, or Paint. NET (the last two are free). The best sprite is one you make yourself. If you're not good, get better. All it takes is a little practice.

Graphics Gale is pretty good for a free program. It supports Layers and transparencies.

Try a google search for Character Maker XP. It it a half decent sprite maker. You can only make hero's though. Custom made sprites that are actually drawn do look a lot better though.
