character passability question

i'm wondering if you were to make a character sprite larger than one tile, could you make its passability larger to fit it?

what i have is two character sets for logs. one that rolls left and right, and another that rolls up and down. like in golden sun how the puzzles work with pushable objects. the logs are 3 tiles across, and up and down.

when i set the event for the log, the actor can walk right over the left and right sides of the horizontal log, and underneath the top and center tiles of the vertical log.

how can i make the log's passability equal to its character graphic?
