Character Graphic change upon armor equip

Hey there!

I was wondering, it is possible to change your character's graphic model if he is wearing a certain piece of armor correct?

I attempted to try this with conditional branches in common events but so far no luck.

Would the fact I am using the Enu SBS Tanketai XP Battle Engine by chance have anything to do with it?

(I apologize for my rather frequent noobish questions.)

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!
 
No clue about the script your using but do you have a separate character sprite of the character in question with and without the armor? Hmm ... maybe a call event on every map ...

The easiest way, though most time consuming, would be to create multiple picture of the sprite with costume, and use a parallel process common event to check it and change the sprite accordingly. The easiest way, is to make all the pictures with the different armor (yeah, your not getting around that) but have someone write you a script that checks everything for you. That way would be much cleaner and much more efficient but I dunno how hard of a script that would be....(I don't think to bad from my limited knowledge...)
 
Ah I apologize for not explaining in more detail in my first post.

I actually do have the graphic made for what I wish the character to change in to (since with the game I am working on, they are simply slimes so altering them was rather easy). They aren't going to be wearing armor 'technically', but my concept will be since they are infact slimes they'll be wearing another layer (or coating) or protection on their bodies.

The layer is basically a body armor and what I in essence wanted to do was simply change their character's sprite's color when they equip one of the pieces of armor.

I hope I made sense, I just woke up. :blush:
