Char automatically walks down / Down-button doesn't work anymore

Hey there,
I just released my game and got some strange feedbacks.
This seems to happen in random places (only 2 feedbacks of this error so far), only a computer-restart fixes this.
So the problem is, that sometimes the down-button just doesn't work anymore. Everything works but that button. This problem then extends to the menu, too. You cannot press 'down' in the menu. I didn't have this problem yet, but 2 out of about 15 people already had. There's also another possibility: The character goes down the whole time (in every savegame). If you're going to the menu the choice moves down one time automatically, after that the down-button doesn't work anymore for all savegames.

What could the problem be? And why do only a few people experience this?
The rest of the game works perfectly, and I don't think it's a mistake in the game itself since it extends to all savegames and the menu. Can anyone help?

edit: Just tried a savegame that has the bug. Works perfectly for me... :/

It's an issue with the config, I think.
Closing the game and reopening it should work.

Hm no, doesn't work. Only restarting the whole computer works.

Yeah, this has happened to me loads of times. I'm afraid copying and pasting your maps over to a clean file is the only option. Sorry.

Just try to reinstall, that is what I did.

Check and make sure you don't have a Gamepad installed that is improperly configured or leaning on the joystick. Unplug all your gamepads/controllers, or configure them/disable them in the Gamepad and Joystick menu in your Control Panel.

yeah i had the same problem, but my controller was hangin out in my laundry basket, and the joystick was being pushed left lol
