[CH][WIP] Nausicaa

Well, i reasantly reread all of the nausicaa novels, and decided that that story is just to good to not have expanded upon, so i am working on a whole bunch of nausicaa stuff, right nowe only a little bit of nausicaa finished, but more coming soon. so what do you think of what i have done with nausicaa so far?

with Teto.

Wont continue unless a large number of people want me to.

It's an awesome start, and I love the style. If you plan on making more sprites, then I'd definitely say keep the black outline and hard shading- it works, although it won't mesh well with other styles.

I'm especially looking forward to the charsets for things like the bugs and the insects and vehicles and whatnot. ^_^ THAT would be massively useful. The steampunkish tilesets too. Heh.

Looks good. I agree that you should keep the black outlines and shading style. Bu perhaps reshade the skin too, so that it all flows with each style.

WHY IS'NT IT WEARING A FOX-SQUIRREL!?

Nah, its pretty cool.

Because Teto is to small to add sufficient detail if it is just his head and arms sticking around her shoulder. but, i did try and this is what i came out with

Indeed, i was thinking of that, but I will do it after she is finished in all other aspects, because i may find diffrent ways to cover her skin, like gas mask, and then the reshading would have been a waste

as for everyone else, thank you for your comments, Nothing wrong?... except this

All are in the making, i just cant get a good size referance for the ohmu at the moment, Would anyone happen to have a good picture telling how large they are in comparison to nausicaa or something?

Actually i already made a lot of mononoke sprites, and an entire game, but just my luck, it was on my olfd comp and was lost with what i like to call the great purging.

(computer crash i reinstalled all disks, information was put into back up, could access it, virus some how got into that file corrupted everything in it comp deleted the folder and i finally sold my comp after making it clean of viruses.)

although i think i still have the title, cause i posted here at one point...

got it, http://img364.imageshack.us/img364/7594/titlehc6.png

:( That's too bad, but I was planning on making one myself, so maybe there will be one after all ;) Btw, an ohmu is around.... The size of an ant to a mouse. That's only for the really big ones though, I'll try and find a picture of a regular one.

I'd say fairly MASSIVE. At the top of this page Atnas linked to two images of them, and the second one gives you some idea of just how huge they are. Like several horses tall and wide. Better to go with smaller versions, people would see that as faithful enough likely. And I could use 'em for carriage pulling. Hehe.

In the 2nd book (Of the Manga) you can get a good view of a baby Ohmu, and with the rest of the Ohmu herd coming. And when she stands infront of them all, you can see a good size to size difference :)

PS: Would you like to make an RMXP game out of this? I'd love too! Just PM me sometime and we can talk about it.
