Caterpillar script help

Hi guys, i am in need of help. i got this caterpillar script for rpg xp so that characters in my party can follow me. Anyways but theres a problem i have to turn on the script through an event and i just dont noe how to set up the event to turn it on and such. The script i got it from was from this site.

so if you know anything about how to run this script plz help me out im having such trouble. and yes i put the script in script editor. i just dont noe how to turn it on or set the event to run it.

I recommend not using such a complicated caterpillar script. There are much simpler ones that require you to just turn a switch on and off.

thanks for reply and i can't seem to find any simple ones that work with XAS hero edition 3.5. would u happen to noe any that would?

I also am trying this pixelmovement script i found but i cant seem to work the caterpillar do i have to set it on in the event or something. can someone plz help

You have to put \cat_actor[2] in the name of the event, where 2 is the id of the actor you want it to show. You have to have an event for each actor.
I would suggest you try silver wind's add-on to my caterpillar script which generates events for party members that would otherwise not be present.

thanks for reply i added silver winds add on but im still having trouble with the character folowing the actor. i find ur intructions a bit confusing do u think u can tell me step by step wat to do. for example i just made a new map and i want this character which joined my party to follow me. how do i make the event. can u plz tell me step by step wat to do so i can get this to work.
