Can't Run Games

I have downloaded and am attempting to play some of the community's games, but whenever I begin to play, RGSS2 Player stops responding. Literally every game i try to play freezes (Except Worst Game in the World, which runs on RM2003) Anything for VX freezes. I havent tried XP games yet, but I'm pretty sure they are the same. I have a good enough computer BY FAR. Does anyone have any idea what to do? BTW. I'm running Vista.

Check the game.ini file - it may be refering you to the wrong RGSS library

checked that and it refers to the included RGSS2 dll included with the game.

Okay, do you get any error? maybe you don't have the rtp installed?
Is your OS Vista?

My Operating System is Vista and I have tried compatibility mode, run as administrator, and the only thing i get is that the game has stopped responding. With compatibility mode OFF, the game stops immediately, but with compatibility mode ON, the game stops after the main menu. I have both RMVX and RMXP RTP's installed along with the programs.

Have you tried turning off UAC?

Ok, I've turned off UAC and it works. I'll update this if it stops. Thanks for the help.

SO I started playing the game, and i went to go into a room and it froze and stopped responding again. I'm beginning to want to run through my computer with a chainsaw.

... That's what I figured. I wish it would tell me why it isnt responding so I could at least know what the problem was.

Man, back on XP you you could always click on More information - Goddamn Vista
