Can't Open Menu, No Way No How

Here's the short of it: I can't use the RMXP "B"-button. At all. Even if opening a brand new project. Even if closing and reopening RMXP. Even if rebooting. The X, 0, and Esc buttons work just fine, but RMXP just won't accept the B button anymore, and I haven't found any material on this. Or rather, if there is, I wouldn't know the specific search term required to find it. It just glitched out in the midst of test playing.
