Can't Get Auto-Run to Work

I've tried and tried, but I can never seem to start a map with an auto run event. When I playtest it just skips the event all together and lets me roam around. I'm trying to my three people run into the map and start yelling but they just sit there. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

It's very annoying spending an hour making a map to find that it won't work... :(
 
Well, If you plan to let them roam after the yelling then it would probably best to set it on parrell process anyway... After the event happens make it 'erase event' though.

Do you have more then one auto run event on your map? If you do some times thy will cancel each other out, or one will cancel out the other. At lest that is what it dose on my computer!

Yeah.  I would suggest using a parallel process.  Autorun does wierd stuff sometimes.  I tried using it for a cutscene in my first game and all it did was freeze the game so I couldn't move.  Use a parallel process, and after the scene is over, just use a control self switch to make the event do absolutely nothing.  Then you should be good to go.  Good luck.
