Bulding Questions

Hello i getting the hang of the character making of HK so i have started the maps for the game now but my game is like old fashion and like medieval style and i was wondering how do you do the texture of the wood for like a barrel or like a house or fence?

I need some tips on it and some help so please pm me or post here if you have time thanks

well we can't really help you unless you actually give it a try ^_^;. Create some tile pieces, post them, and we can give you crits on it. Otherwise, there are a number of spriting tutorials in the Spriting tutorial link thread for just this thing, and I doubt anything anyone says here will differ from the information on those sites .
Good luck! =)

You've got the right Idea but it looks to me like your jumping into the textures right away. So you're overcrowding the pieces with details look at this

Look closely at the detail. From far away it looks like there's a lot but if you zoom in you'll notice its not that complicated. Try zooming out every now and then to get a full picture of what your spriting, and if you need to , use these as a reference.

It really looks like you just squished an RTP barrel and used it as a trace-base.
The execution is alright, but the perspective is HUGELY off.
I'd advise you to line first, then do basic shade blocking, then refine from there.
If you're having trouble, I recommend going into the Tutorials board and looking for spriting tutorials there.

It coming together. You have the right idea =)

The metal bracing along the center of the barrel needs a rework with it curve.
