My very first game.
I want it to be epic.
So I wrote a basic plot that I'm pretty happy with. Pretty Generic. Another save the world RPG but I think it'll be real swell.
Please give feedback of any kind.
It would be very helpful.
Name: Broken Wings
Very short plot summery:
Notice: This is an oversimplified version of the plot. The plot itself is much more in depth and interesting.
Way back in the day legend tells of four Heroes who sealed the Angel of light Belial into seven artifacts. Casting him away into oblivion. If one were to get his hands on the seven objects they would obtain a power so great that they could rule the world. Basically the game revolves around this legend. In the game everyone regards this story as a tall tale. Kind of like the story of Excalibur. The heroes are part of a an elite military force called O.W.L. They are sent to retrieve a precious item stolen by an organization by the name of The Red Dawn. They find out that the item is actually one of the seven artifacts and the Red Dawn was protecting it. So that no one could wield the power. You find out that your military leader is trying to get his hands on the power. So you become a double agent. Acting as if you are working for your leader. While gathering info for the red dawn. Your leader tells you to go and retrieve another artifact. You return. He tells you why he is trying to collect the artifacts. That he is trying to protect them from being misused. Your party knows that he is actually the bad guy. And agrees to join him in his quest. After you retrieve all of the items for your leader except for the one that the Red Dawn has. You go back to the red dawn base. Form a plan to attack and retrieve the rest of the items from your leader. You attack the leader's base and retrieve all the items. Then you report back to the red dawn base. Where they then lock you up. Confused and enraged. Your party some how breaks out and finds that they are summoning Belial. That they used you the whole time. The red dawn thinks they will gain the power, but instead Belial just kills alot of them and teleports away. Belial starts his siege on the world. His main plan is to corrupt the earth. Is to make everyone powerful and greedy and full of sin. He makes all of the seats of power his puppets (kings, queens, bishops, etc) Tricking them to start wars and things like that. Eventually turning some of them into monsters. Depending on how greedy and evil they have become. Belial does not control them, he just uses their weaknesses against them to corrupt. Then he'll turn them inside out in a sense. Letting their evil show in the form of a monster. Belial also doesn't act on his own. He just triggers events. So humanity has no one to blame but themselves. In order to stop Belial the Heroes need seven objects to seal the seven sins of Belial. Which make him up as a whole. (seven deadly sins) Pride, Greed, Envy, Anger, Lust, Gluttony, Sloth. Each sin appears as the forms of monsters from corrupted seats of power. Belial knows that he has to be defeated. That it is the natural order of things. And that it will happen. He is just playing his role in the universe. Once the Heroes find the sins and seal all of them. The Deity transports them back in time to seal Belial once more. So the hero and his party are the great heroes from the legend. Also, the people that turn into the sins are not specific. It just depends on how evil that have become. So in that sense, the heroes can save a king from becoming so evil that he fits the quota.
I don't know if that made sense, but in my mind I see it clearly. =)
Mini Main Character Summery:
Jonathan: Jonathan is the main protagonist. He was accepted into Roost Academy at age 15. graduating at 17. He is one of the top students, and the youngest to graduate. He is very handy with a Blade.
Leanie: The newest member of Jonathan's squad. While most squads go through roost academy together, Leanie was added to the team after Jonathan Graduated.
She is very attractive. Proficient with a Urumi (a whip that acts as a blade).
Zone: Zone is Jonathan's best friend and his been so since the first year of Roost Academy. He was born with magic in him. A very rare trait in the day and age, but not unheard of. He carries manipulation orbs. They allow him to manipulate his magic to use freely.
Apitu: The leader of the O.W.Ls. A semi-secret elite military force within the Rose Empire.
Dermal: A high ranking bad ass in the Red Dawn.
Belial: The Angel of Light. Belial is a very complex figure. He is not evil. Nor is he good. Yet he is the main antagonist of the game. He knows that he has to be sealed again. He wishes to test humanity while he is out. In the form of their weaknesses, boundaries, etc.
That's all I have so far.
