Bridges, bridges, bridges! [SOLVED]

Agh! I'm havin bridges problems.

I followed the "advance bridges tutorials" down to every word.

I got everything working fine, but when my character is on the same level as the bridge and walks onto the bridge, he can cross it fine. But if he decides to stray off the bridge the game allows it?

I have all the settings exactly as the guide describes them.

Any help?

Edit: The problem has been solved, thanks to all who helped!

I didn't read the tutorial, but the only way I know of doing this is to either use two tilesets, or two sets of bridge tiles on the same tileset. In either case, whichever the bridge is set to when you are "on" it, those tiles need to have their passability set correctly in the Database. Look at the 4-directional passability in this section of the database and experiment a bit until you get it right.

The way I work with bridges like that is have invisible touch events that track if the player is approaching the bridge form the same level, or the below level. It sets a switch depending on which level you're on. The whole bridge is constructed of events that have different pages based on switches. They are either above the player or below the player, and also if it's below the player I have more switch-based invisbile events bordering the bridge that make it so you can't walk off the bridge when on it.

@ Gabriot:
I tried the events bordering that block the player from straying but I cannot make it to where they block the player
from walking off the bridge. I've been away from XP for quite a while.

@ Boon:
Thanks for the link, I'll take a look.
