A standard Male civilian. Added an Emoticon sheet for him - 04/17/08

A standard Female civilian.
Only One Tileset at the moment, It's of a city. The shadows have to be that dark, otherwise they lighten up the road - and I've never seen a shadow make something lighter. I have added a bit of Green Ravens snow tileset to fit with the next building I am making.

A sand auto-tile, pattern from Green Raven's Road Auto-tile.

An animated water autotile that fits with the lovely sand autotile on the same layer.

Green Raven for the Breeze Template and graphics that I used.
Me for the editing and creation of graphics.

What's your opinion?

looks good but theres something about the hair thats weird o.o, looks a bit to smooth needs that shiny color i think
Yes it needs a highlight in a few places.

Other then that this is one of the better sprites i've seen. Good job.

Wow, that's quite wonderful, Boonzeet. Just give the hair a few shiny spots and you should be set. Nice choice of Palette may I add.

Thank you for the comments. I can't beleive I forgot shading under the hair

I'm going to sprite a lot more on this template, it looks so cute.

Oh, I must add. 2 of the Palettes on the sprite are by GR.

Okay, I shaded the hair and under it properly, and am starting a little bit of a tileset.

What does everyone think?

the hair is much better now =), and the tileset is nice too but the shadows(i think they're shadows) look a bit weird o.o, the shadows for the houses

I actually like the muted and subtle coloring of the sprites.  Not everything has to be bright and high contrast in order to convey a cartoony look.  The hair on the female in the side view still looks a little off.  I think it might help if you didn't use the male side view hair style as a base.  Maybe just drawing the hair covering the ears would improve it.

Excelling work so far.

They look fine once the 50% transparency is active. They are just dark because they made the road tiles lighter.

Okay, time for an update: More buildings added, signs and yellow lines, pavement and last but not least a recolor of the awning.

So, what does everyone think?

It's not bad, for an outline. Obviously it still needs some shading and texture, but it's looking good so far. My main gripe is the upper right shadow of the house. It should keep on going, not bend back.

Also, what's the green cloth thing? An awning? Make the poles a tile higher, and make them tileable.

What do you mean by making the poles tileable? Awnings aren't meant to be very tall are they?

Also, I will fix the shading on the shadow of the house.

Well, no, not that tall, but there should be one or two tiles underneath so that characters can walk under them if necessary, or so that they can be put at varying heights.
Anyways, I made a few small edits to your tileset.
I texturized the doors a touch(there's still more to do, but they look a bit better), made a tileable version of the awning, fixed tileability on the house and shaded it a touch more to give more depth, worked with the signs a little, and maybe some other stuff too.

Okay, Thank you - that looks a bit better. Although, the shading on the doors isn't particularly needed, it looks cleaner without the shading there.

I'm mostly aiming for a Pokémon D/P sort of style, Simple but effective. The dithering on the door seems a bit odd when you look at it in that light.

Ah, OK. That explains it a bit more, then. I thought you were going for a realistic-ish style, like GR's tilesets, which are full of detail.
