Right, I started pixelling again yesterday, so here's what I've done in the meantime.

I talked to you about the chair already, but your shading on the cloth folds is messy. The dark side isn't too bad, but the front needs to be retooled. It's easier to show what's wrong with it than to explain.


This is obviously still messy, but I hope it gets the idea across.

Also, note the edges. The dotted thing you have right now looks bad. Edges will generally be lighter than the flat sides or the same hue.

I've worked on it a little more, removing Peri's edits and replacing them with my attempts.

I like the look of that so far. I think your pallette is a bit off but I'm not sure where; it just screams out to me as being "wrong" - looks weird if that makes sense. I like the actual shapes though, and nice work with the lighting on the front of the tripod.

Just made a quick edit for this one:

the laser needed to be lighter and the laser's light needs to have more influence on the sprite, it was a quick edit so I may have overdone it.
Hope this helps you out.

It definately looks better with a brighter, cooler ray for the laser.

 

[Perihelion]

The shading you did on the bottom of the beam makes it look like a tube. Transition to the background color instead. And yeah, the bright aqua is better.
