Book of three-rm2k game help

I didn´t know where to put this, so please move it if it´s in the wrong place.

I just started playing Book of three, a rm2k game made by Lysander86.
It´s based on the book by Lloyd Alexander.

The problem:
I have reached the part where Gurgi is supposed to escape from the dwarves`dungeon.
But I can´t get past the statue that spots Gurgi when he tries to get past it(at which point I have to start
all over again. I can´t get past the upper orb in the second room either.
So, how do I get Gurgi out of the dwarf dungeon, to rescue Taran and the others?

I played this game like 5 or 6 years ago and all I remember is that I thought the music was absolutely fantastic.

Yeah, I haven't played this one in ages as well.  I know I beat it, but I honestly don't remember how I got through that maze. :\

I solved it.

Solution:

King Eiddilegs dungeon:
Just go to the second room and push the switch there. Then you can go back to the first room(where you started). This time, there will be no guard to the right. From there, it gets easier.
