Better Battle System ?

what im looking for is a battle system in which there is little distinction between players and enemies. Im looking for one where enemies have set weapons, Armor, Classes, and Faces... For example if "Archer" is class i want an enemy archer and a play archer to be the same... is this possible to do without doing alot of script editing ... if its not could someone help me out with the editing im not real good with code.

What, exactly, do you mean by this? It's pretty simple to give an enemy access to the same skills as a player, if that's all that you have in mind. The same goes for things like stats, elemental vulnerabilities, and the like.

Armor, Weapons, Classes and Faces don't apply to enemies at all in any of the RPGmaker series. (Well, they could in RPGMaker III for the PS2, but that's not worth getting into right now.) (Also, you can use Faces in event dialog depending on the maker and/or scripts that you are using, but that's a minor detail.)

If you want to actually have enemies use weapons, armor, classes, whatever as a design tool, though, you're talking about totally altering the way that the system works, beyond just the usual level of scripting.

If you alter the battle system itself for the enemies to that degree, you're going to have to use scripting to enter the enemy data, as no amount of scripting will alter RPGmaker itself.

So, it comes down to this: What do you actually want this to do?

have u ever played a Fire Emblem game for GBA or Advnaced Wars ? I want enemies to be nothing more then a computer controlled player. What i really want is the tab ( in XP) for enemies to be like the Actor Tab.

if you want something like that, then look into the GTBS. That would be the battle system for you as it is almost exactly like Advance Wars and Fire Emblem. That's pretty complicated though so be prepared for some work though!

Like I just said, there is no way to do that.

No script, no event, no anything that you can do will make the enemy tab work like the actor tab.

Scripting does not change the way the toolkit itself works. Nothing does. The RPGmaker tool itself cannot be altered-- only the games that you create with it.

Thus, while you can create a system that works in any given way, you can't change the troops or enemies tab or how they work.
