Best Mouse?

I can't seem to find a mouse that is my style but doesn't suck.  First, I tried a standard Compaq mouse.  It worked alright for a good two months  or so, and then it got worse until it stopped working altogether.  After that, I tried a Logitech Optical Mouse.  This one was awful.  Within the first month of buying it, the sensor stopped working.  Now I'm using a Gear Head Wireless optical mouse, and it's working fine.

I'd like to know what kinds of mice the .org community prefers.  Fire away.

Well, I normally use a tablet, but for internet purposes, I use an old black Logitech mouse that came with my keyboard. I've been using it for ...probably two years now? and it's still working great.
(internet because the tablet pen doesn't have a scroll wheel, so I can't middle-click links with it.

Anything Logitech is built to survive a nuclear holocaust and usually come in a million different styles so there's usually one out there for everyone.  They're a little on the pricey side, but well worth the money.

My mother had a Logictech wireless mouse, she got it in 1999 and it's still going, the issues are that the wireless receiver is about the size of a fist and it is wireless, the strange thing is that the batteries last for ages on that mouse, went on for 4 or 5 months before running out, that was with constant unreal tournament 99 use.

You must have had a pretty shitty Logitech mouse, because I have a USB optical one and it works wonders than the destructible Compaq one.

I agree with $t3v0. I'm using a wired Logitech opitcal mouse. The G5. I love it. The mouse has a built in dpi sensitivity button so you can choose how fast the cursor moves. This part may be too much but it has weights you can change out for your desired comfort.

Something you should look into.
