way to not read the topic junior

Anyway, I like it. It's a bit out of proportion, and I'd suggest you sketch out the character first on a skeleton to remedy that- it'll also help making more dynamic poses.

You'd have to redo enemies as well, though, in order to keep the style consistent.

Thanks despain. I'm in the middle of re-drawing a bunch of characters. I still need practice because this style although simple seems hard for me to get the proportions correct. *The way I want them* Practice makes perfect I hope and I'll post a few more when I'm finished.

yeah if thats the style you want you should probably redo the enemies as well. Also...the character just doesnt seem like he's very interested in a fight. Is that by design? If I were to get into a fight with someone in that stance I'd whoop em. :-P

where's his other hand?.. :P

Sorry, could'nt resist hehehe

Drawing stuff is understanding how ,whatever you're drawing works, and fits together. And a lot of practise. You can't draw something you don't know.

The more humans you have closely observed and watched how they moved etc, the easier it gets to draw humans.

Observation, understanding and practise are the magic words.

Take a step back, sleep over it and then take a fresh look at your creation and decide if you are still as pleased with it or how you can improve it.

Hm... he doesn't really look geared to fight. He's just kinda standing there with a sword. Almost looks as though he's more lost in thought and bored. Try making his pose more action-y. Like spreading the legs apart, bending the arms. Take a look at some poses in an artbook or something or even try doing some of your own. It's only really acceptable to have a sorta just standing pose if the weapon is a gun or bow or some kind of distance weapon. With a sword you dive into the action so it'd be nice to show that more.

His right hand looks like it's stuck in his pants, kinda reminds me of Al Bundy. And you do realize that this guy is left-handed. Not sure if you made that inentional or not.
