Setting
In the future. The old planet, Terra, has been destroyed by man-kind's heavy extraction of it's resources. With no land left to live on, humanity was forced to build to the stars. A Ring-world planet named Solitude was created around a distant star. The energy needed for the humans on Solitude is extracted from light shining directly from the star onto four inner-solar panels.
To keep Solitude from losing gravity and stabibility, four "engines", giant rockets place along the outside surface of Solitude fire seasonally to re-position it around the star.
Now the old world is forgotten, man-kind has no knowledge of Terra and it's gods. The people only know Solitude. Their souls are now enfused with the un-natural elements of Solitude.

Story
Julian, a rich maniac who controls the upper-atmosphere of Solitude by patrolling with his airship, is driven insane when finding a fallen goddess of Terra amongst the ice of the lowest point on Solitude's surface. The anger of the goddess drives Julian to destroy Solitude, he attacks and obliterates one of the "engines", leaving Solitude hanging, balanced around a firey star. The engineers of Solitude can fix the engine, but the problem is that Julian is moving to attack the other three.
Seven friends realise the destruction to come. They learn of their position in the Ring-world, and amongst themselves. They are the ones that take up the burden to stop Julian and save their world. But there are other forces within each of the seven that slowly come to the surface as they get closer to the truths of their world, and the souls within.

Name: Gus
Element: Earth
Description: Brother of Felix. His spirit is enfused with the power of the old world, Terra. He has the power to control the sands, reform stone, a bring destruction to lands. A proud leader who will seek his goals to the end.














Name: Felix
Element: Ice
Description: Felix is Gus's brother. He is kind to his friends and has compassion. His clothing keeps him warm as his soul is enfused with the element of Ice, even when he is in the desert to tend his radio tower he needs to wear heat insulating clothing. Felix's power results in his mental downfall, and a role reversal where he relies on the love of his friends to keep him alive.













Name: Andrew
Element: Light
Description: Andrew is serious in nature. His strengths are his sheer speed. An agile fighter when he needs to be. With a soul of light, he will deliver his spear into the heart of his enemies. Gus and Andrew have known each other for a very long time. They pair up well with Gus's brute strength and Andrew's speed.













Name: Oli
Element: Electricity
Description: A great mechanic. He attacks mostly with his shock-stick, his favourite tool. The maintainer and pilot of the airship. He may look like he holds back most of the time, but behind the scenes Oli is a key character. He and Felix are usually a duo-team. Together they fly the airship. Together they save the Ring-world.













Name: Ali
Element: Wind
Description: Ali was once an assasin, he would use the sound of the wind to hide the sound of movement before firing an arrow through the head of his targets. Gus was the first target he missed, and after learning of the sinnister plans of his ex-employers, he killed them silently and joined Gus and Felix.














Name: Lloyd
Element: Shadows
Description: As his element is the entire oppisite of Andrews, Lloyd and Andrew do not talk beyond team discussions. Lloyd appeared from out of no-where with no memory. He saw Gus as a person with meaning and direction, and joined the team. As Lloyd grew, he became more wise and gives messages of wisdom to the other party members.













Name: Fred
Element: Fire
Description: An ace-marksman. Fred has always been outside the team. He would collect information and pass it onto the team. In battle, Fred will fight along-side his friends and obliterates his enemies with firearms of all nature. Fred's accuracy is unmatched in all of Solitude. Get too close to this flame and...

Extra
Made with 100% custom graphics, Audio, however, is custom mixed, and to reduce filesize it will be released as a plugin for the game.
The game uses a custom launcher that has updates and news, this will require the Microsoft .Net framework.
The RPGVX run time package is not required.

It's about time you post your project!
Love your art and characters.
The story seems pretty original.
I like the title screen, but it reminds me of Halo.
The menu looks pretty boring, but I am sure you will work on it later.
Your maps. Are you finished with that town map?? It needs different textures of grass and more trees/plants. The world map...how does a train go over that body of water?

Ah, thank you.
Menu will have the default VX faded background with it and character facesets, it is simple, but if you look you'll see I left some space to add in a feature that is still in the planning stage.
I was actually thinking of that part of the railway on the world map, i'll make a bridge under it :p
It's set on a Ring-world, Halo is also set in a Ring-world, so some of the pre-rendered still will have the structure arching over the top, like the sky box of Halo, however Halo isn't the influence in this case, if you read Larry Niven's "Ring World" you'll find the Ring-world setting I stole almost entirely from that book.

it's weird. usually it's the maker who inserts himself as the "proud leader" archetype and the maker's best friend/bro is the support archetype but you've kind of flipped it around with the blatant self-insertions.

aside from that this is so, so generic, man. "teenagers with elem. powers" is the archetype of bad forum rps and lame pipe dreams that anyone with a heart and soul takes steps to avoid. it doesn't help that this time you've shoehorned you and your friends(?) into seven tired and perfunctory elementalchild personas.

also "because he went insane" is probably one of the worst motivations for a villain and should be used sparingly.

also also your tiny sprite has no shading and too much contrast and shoddy linework and it's not going to fit any of the graphics you've shown so far based not so much on size but how it resembles a stickman more than a physical human being.
 
Sorry, their ages really weren't in my mind, I just made characters named after some of my old friend who helped with the first game.
The tiny sprite is reduced 50% for world map with no AA applied, the actually map sprite is much more detailed, you'll see it later.
Julian is driven insane from what the fallen goddess does to him upon his discovery of her, the scene at the moment is an odd, dead upside-down woman shoots laser beems into Julian's eyes which catch fire, but that's what it looks like currently haha.
 
The picture from the youtube video looks alot like the halo's from Halo and the whole ring-world sounds like the Halo's from Halo also. Fan of Halo im guessing?

Anyways, the maps look kind of barren. They are basically just buildings and mountains, etc. Adding a little texture and variety and scenery would look really nice. Other than that good concept and good artwork, and good luck. This game has some potential behind it.
