Bullet for my Valentine is a metalcore band that writes songs about love and being picked on. They both use hardcore vocals as they both have the same vocal instructor, as well as impressive guitar techniques.
The winner:
Bullet for my valentine. They have a wider variety of different emotions connected to their songs, It is a lot easier to absorb the message in their songs, and they have a slightly better stage presence. Their pronunciation is also a lot clearer than As I Lay Dying, so you can understand what they are saying and most of us aren't hardcore Christians, so we can't really relate to their music or absorb their message properly.

Well, there could be circumstances in which they would lose. Like if the audience was made up of all Christians. And you left out the fact that Tim Lambesis of As I Lay Dying usually gets involved with the Audience a lot more the Matt Tuck from Bullet for my valentine.
