Battle Algorithms

This isn't so much a script request but moreso a "how would I..." request.

I need to change the battle algorithms to better suit a system with very low HP.

(10 is the min player HP, 99 the max).

Here is my ideas:

There are no player stats, other than HP and MP.

Weapon stats therefore determine the damage dealt.

ATK: Average damage the weapon should do
STR+: Amount +/- of the average the weapon should do
DEX+: % it should hit

I'm using those stats as they already exist so they'd be easy to use.

For example, a weapon has:
ATK: 7
STR+: 3
DEX+: 70

The weapon hits for 4-10 damage, 70% of the time.

Does anybody know how I can do this, or anybody want to do it for me? I am using Mr.Mo's SBABS if that makes any difference.
