Here's a WIP Battle track...  This sort of track would loop incessantly when fighting "run-of-the-mill" enemies. Eventually I'll post mini-boss, boss, elite-boss, and final-boss tracks. In the meantime, any opinions or criticism are very welcome & appreciated.

Please be honest but harsh!

I could always use advice in the following areas: melody, harmony, timbre choice, instrumentation, mixing, etc.

I like it. I think the bass was too quiet, same goes for bass drum. The melody was good, but at 0:7 (where there is no guitar melody) I think the organs should be a little louder.

You could probably do with varying the beat up, and some aspects of the main melody don't seem to fit too well. Around 26-27 seconds theres a little lick that stands out to me, it's used earlier in the track and later too I think, 26-27 is just the one I picked out as I was typing. Also, around 1.02-1.07 the melody seems to trail off. I know it's meant to be the conclusion to the build up but I'm not sure you've quite hit the money. I'm not very up on musical theory so I can't really explain exactly what I mean, but if it really is a problem and not just me being pedantic you should see what I mean.

I like it overall. It's layered very well and there are some nice subtle details that show you've put some thought into it; especially as far as the drums are concerned. However, I think some of the accents are a bit misplaced/off. Around 0.19-0.21 the choked cymbals sound a bit messy to me (not timing wise, but just how well suited they are).

It's nearly all the same chord progression the whole way through, which is something I'd not go for in such a short piece. Try adding some rhythmic variation and a couple of contrasting sections.

Otherwise I do like it, the feel is very funky and cool.

I like the first back-beat melody, but then it got too confusing with the counter-melody mixed in. What did you write this in? (The software)

the guitar sounds like something from a cheesy 80's movie.. but other than the drums, it sounded good. the drums were just way too simplistic
