[Skyla Doragono]

Since Des was making fun of me on IRC for not posting any of my artwork on here, I threw up some of my better pieces on Photobucket to share. :P  It's mostly fan art, but that shouldn't be a surprise.  I tried to stick to pictures of single characters or things that were purely platonic.  And no, nothing over PG. :P

If you guys want more, I'll post more.  Oh, and I know my shading blows chunks; I'm still working on it.  The majority of these are referenced from other pictures; anime screenshots, manga panels, other fan art, ect.  Damned if I remember what's what.  These are in no particular order:

This is like, the second picture I ever did on the computer.  I was still just darkening lines and smudging for shading. :x  I still haven't settled on a shading style that I like, but I can do cell shading well.  :\  I dunno.

Done on a whim while I was playing with ideas of a Kingdom Hearts and Yuugiou crossover.  Even though the shading has like... no effort put into it, I still think it's sickeningly cute.  :<

This is one of my roleplay characters, and also one of my recent pictures.  It's a long story, but she goes insane at one point, leading to this.

I don't know why this isn't shaded; I could have sworn I did at one point.  Anyway, this was done on request a long time ago.  My friend at the Comic Crossover Archive wanted a villain that combined, "the gayness of Kuja and Seymour", but he had no idea how to do it.

Wow, these are quite good. Umm, what program do you use to draw your pictures?
Your shading doesn't look bad at all. I thought that was how all Anime/Manga pictures were shaded.

The characters are great, just the backgrounds could be greatly improved. I love the hair that looks like Yu-gi-oh's, very sexy. <3

Do you use a graphics tablet? (If so, could you tell me the brand + price?)

I draw everything by hand, then scan it in and put it in Photshop CS 2.  Now I do the lineart with the pentool/stroke path.

EDIT @ Athiel: No, I don't use a tablet.  To be honest, I'm so used to using the mouse, plus with how expensive tablets are, I probably never will.

^ Your best one, IMO. The hands are perfect, the shading is excellent, use of color is excellent, and the expression is very sophisticated :D

I've really lost a lot of interest in doing... pretty much everything.  It sucks knowing why and not really being able to do anything about it, but anyway.  I should get back into it, though; I have a couple pictures I owe Eilei.

I already told you that I liked these, but I thought I'd leave a comment anyway. Now that I take a better look at it, I actually think the Anathla picture is better than the one with shot Atemu. I love the simple, yet effective shading. Very nice work.  :thumb:

Not bad. The anatomy is a bit accurate, though in some your shading of the skin is a bit light and barely visible.

I have to agree with Venetia on Anathla on being one of your best. The shading is great and it almost looks television quality, plus I like the expression.

I never knew you were an artist, you did a nice job.

One question though...  I am not a Yu-Gi-Oh fan, so I dont know anything about them... but in those last several pictures,  the Bakura and Atemu ones... are they both guyes?  Especially the one where they are kissing... I cant tell of one of them is supposed to be a chick, or... whatever, but are they both guyes?  (I dont care wither way if they are, I was just wondering...)

I think I would've liked the hand-drawn battlers there, rather than the side-view sprites. But that's just cuz I'm a stickler for custom art, and your stuff is well done.  :smile:

Anzu and Honda aren't playable characters in Egyptian Dreams, or at least they weren't at the time.  That might change when I finish Duelist Legends.

The shading is superb, and her hair is very nicely done. I can't really see any problems with it.

Although her expression could be a bit less... indifferent. Of course, that's just a matter of preference on my part.

@Kraft: Believe me, if either of them were drawn as a girl, they'd be freaking out.  Same with putting them in girls clothing.
