AS2 help?

I'm starting to practice using ActionScript, and I thought I'd start with something simple, so I started working on a little paint program. I've gotten everything I have working so far, but I've come across a little problem:

You can draw through the color selection choices. How can I create some sort of barrier that doesn't allow that to happen?

Messed with action script very little. When you click to pain do this

if mouse over color

 dont draw

else

 draw

end

What would be cool is erase, fill, and shape tools, and an export option :3 Nice job tho
