How many times do you think a politician's recieved an email by some young gamer who thinks he's one-upped up him thanks to INTERNET STATITICS??

Seriously, man... that website doesn't mean crap. You can throw that stuff around, but it won't change someone's decision. Besides, no one is controlling gaming. They can't stop people from creating it unless they also want to put a halt to the mass production of Hollywood schpiel and art itself. The only thing your local congressman is doing is making sure more harsh ratings are put on games and that they stay out of the hands of children which I can't agree with any more than I already do. 10 year olds playing Grand Theft Auto... the fuck??

But if you're adamant about sending this, just go to your state's/provinces/country's website. They'll no doubt give you info on the current governor/mayor/congressman/senator which should link to their website which will probably have a contact email address.

Still, most big whigs have automated email addresses so you'll probably just get a letter in reply saying "thnx 4 ur support you just voted on proposition 121b."

If you kept up with the news, you'd already know judges throw this kinda crap out of court constantly. The politicians dont give a damn about gaming, this is just a '2 year concern' like gay marriage. It only matters right before people vote. They're trying to appeal to the detached midwestern vote with talk of bills that will NEVER pass.

Actually, this is the same sort of thing that attacked Radio...Comic Books, Children's Cartoons, etc over the years. For a while, Comic books were the reason the youth of 'today' (in the 50s and 60s) were so violent. You should pick up and read 'Seduction of the Innocent' by Dr. Fredric Wertham to get an idea of exactly how similar to today's 'War on Games' the 'War on Comics' really was. Hell, nowadays if someone says 'I KILLED BECAUSE OF COMCIS' no one cares, because that's old news. This is just a hot button because it's prevalant in society moreso than any oter form of entertainment medium (among people 15-25 aprox.)

I used to work with the Legistlative Liason in our colleges student government, and learned above all else that politicians often at least pretend they care.
Discouraging people from sending letter to their legislators is irresponsible, and you should be ashamed.
