Anti-Emo Police Department Comic WIP

Hello. Last semester my friend Liko and I began writing plans for a comic in which we, along wiht several other charcters (nearly 100 atm) are a part of an organisation that hunts down and kills emos. We do not mean to be offensive or mean, so don't read the comics if you are easily offended.

What do you think? I haven't finished yet, but I need to know if this looks okay, becuase I did it in MSPaint, and I need to decide if I want to continue in MSPaint or hand draw them?

I will post the characters later, after I make MSPaint versions of them. I'll probably do SpiderChick, Hit&Run, and Hunter first...

What's your basis for an Emo being burned on the Catholic Cross?

I dont get all this emo stuff. From what I know in England there's plenty of em' but they don't really do anything to annoy me and don't seem to be particularly self-loathing. Are you sposed to be emo just by listening to the music and having hair over your face? I like emo music, ... this is really off topic sint it.

Oh and critically, I'ts not humorous or artistic so I would suggest trying hand drawn instead.

This is mostly for my friends, and the cross thing is a symbol for the Church (my friends are very AntiCatholic). I try to make the characters as obvious as possible becuase it is kind of hard to tell what these characters are in the current style (bubble figures). So, Emos in the comics all have hair over one eye, and will sometimes be seen with thier own little monologue in which they discuss with themselves suicidal thoughts, although never go through with the suicide attempts in the end. Actually, in one scene, the planned introduction of the Emo Killing Ninja (yet to be named), said ninja kills an Emo just after the Emo decideds not to commit suicide...

You will see less emos in the stroy than you think though. After all, most of the characters are not emos, and some emos are in the story (they never die).

Most episodes will be about the AEPD, the school in which the AEPD is stationed, with only an occasional Emo killing (though references to Emos will be made many times).

This comic is very steryotypical, but it is merely for fun, and not to be taken seriously.

I don't necessarily have any moral disagreement with it, but the level of funniness so far is rather disappointing, quite frankly.

This first page is not meant to be funny. It is a 'serious' scene. The stuff that is supposed to be funny will come in a page or two (hopefully).

I'll make some more MSPaint pages, and post 'em later (no guarantees I'll get 'em done, lot's to do...)

I guess MS Paint would uphold the somewhat simplistic style you're going for, if not be a little amateur.

But on topic, i'm afraid it isn't funny and it isn't serious, the overuse of explamation marks really ruins it.

I see...well...I have been thinking, and I probably will make this less about the Emos, but more of a 'Make Fun of Every Thing' comic, like the shows South Park and Family Guy. I don't have anything against emos or christians personally, so no point in targeting only them...

I'll post a different page later, you can tell me if it is better or worse (or the same).

Although I believe that is a cool idea, madmax_vii, I think I'm gonna stick with random jokes and panels aimed at every[thing/one]. If anyone has suggestions for the new page, or characters, please tell me.

I have no clue when I'll have time to make another page becuase I'm taking state's assessment tests, working on the Zombie High RP, and I'm busy with school programs, but I'll try to get a better own, nay, a good one out ASAP.
