This is, pretty much, the first thing i've ever successfully pixel'd. Feel free to tear into and critique it to hell and back, I have nooo clue what i'm supposed to be doing versus what I am doing right now, which is just winging it.

You might want to take a look at this tutorial. Fixing up jagged lines is an important step in pixel art, and you should get into the habit of it before starting to shade.

Regarding shading, the hat shadow color is a little obvious and sticks out like a spot. You could also shade in the glasses and parts of his shirt. It's a decent first attempt, anyhow. Just a side note, use the bbcode
