I'm using Gamemaker for the first time to make a small school project and I'm having some trouble.
I've made a sprite of a hand wielding a gun which I want to do a shooting animation once and then return to the normal non-shooting sprite.
First the animation kept looping so that was wrong, but now the animation doesn't run at all.
So in short, how do I make an animation run only once?

If I need to post some screenshots please tell me and I will put them up once I'm home (using a school computer atm)


Okay now I've got a new question, which is hopefully very easy to solve as well.

I'm trying to make something happen after the score reaches a certain value, so I used the "Test Score" command, but for some reason it's not working.
This is how I set it up:

It's probably something very simple but I'm a noob when it comes to this program.. :sad:
 
have you tried changing the sprite. Have to sprites, a normal pose and a shooting pose. Then set up a event in the player event where if you press [blank] then character sprite changes, and change it to shooting pose. Then set a timer depending on how long your animation is. Once the timer goes off, revert the sprite back to the original pose.
