Heyhey,
I'm trying to find a way to make animations appear below fogs. I'm using the RTAB, which rewrites the animation module that isn't normally in the scripts. I'm also using an edit by Seph to make fogs appear in battles. ^^
I found the place where if I put the z of the animation below 0 it disappears, but it never goes below the fog. Here's the RTAB part with the sprite.z that affects it this way: (At the bottom; note that I've already put it at 1 instead of 2000 but that makes no difference. The animations are also above the menu's which are quite annoying, too. I hope putting it below the fog fixes this too, but the main focus of this topic is to get it below fogs so the animations aren't bright as heck when everything else is really dark because of a fog. ^^)
