Animation (Outside of battle)

There are a couple of things I wanted to do, but I either can't or I just don't know how.
One is having a character pull out a weapon like a sword or gun ect.
The other is little animations like being able to make the characters sit, kneel, put their hands up ect.
Can this be done?

This can be done...but most likely you will need extra sprite sets that show the animation being done, then make a common event or script that will check if a button is being pressed and show the sprite. Hope this helps a little :thumb:

That does help a little :P
I only wanted it for cut scenes, but at least this information will help me get to it ^^
Thanks.

Sorry for the double post, but I wanted to clarify what I meant about the animation with a weapon -
Really all I want was for a weapon to be out infront of the sprite. Not really animated. Just so that the player knows that the character is shooting some one and that the person being shot didn't have an explosive heart attack.
I just realized that my first post could have been a little more clear.

Sounds like you need to create the graphics that you want and turn them into a character sprite.

Once you get that first step, the second step is very simple-- you just Set Move Route to display the frames that you want.

You could also do basically the same thing with Animations-- you create the graphics you want, put them into Animation cell format, create the Animation in the engine, have it hide the target, then have it play on the map.

In either case, step one is to create the graphics of the character doing what you want. If you are a skilled pixel artist, it's easy, I suppose-- I wouldn't know, having minimal skill at most in that field.
