Ammo script for vx

A post in another entry made me aware that there is no ammo script for VX... so I guess I'd better ask:
I was wondering if  someone could make a script for ammo-- guns, bows and perhaps other items requiring certain bits of ammo to function  (for example, a lightning rod requiring batteries)

I'd like the possibility for not only regular attacks  consuming ammo but also special skills related to that weapon-- so that when there is no ammo, those skills don't appear in the player's skill list. Again, going back to the lightning rod example-- if you don't have any more batteries, the lightning rod-related attack "Tesla Coil" won't appear.

Anyone up for the task?
