Ugh. It's especially gross if you know what a Nathan's hot dog tastes like. They're really good, but all the ones I've ever eaten had such a strong flavor to them that I felt like I was going to blow up after eating just one. @_@ I've never really understood how these people pull it off.

I don't think that has much impact on eating contests. A lot of people who enter eating contests have trained their bodies for it and are not actually overweight. Also, it's a pretty rude assumption that fat people are fat because they can/do eat a lot. A lot of weight problems extend from lifestyle/parentage and stress.

Also, America's "weight problem" is (at least partially) a dramatized image projected by Hollywood and the media. But I won't get into that debate here. =P

There's actually a theory that slimmer people can eat more than heavier people because the fat surrounding the stomach doesn't allow it to stretch as much as in a slimmer person.

Hot dog eating contests: fun for everyone. Seriously I have no idea how they fit that many godamn chunks of meat in their stomach, their intestines must be packed by the time they're done.
