Alternative Grass Tileset (VX) - EXAMPLE ADDED

[Shingu]

Just an alternative "Grass" Tileset for VX. It's a bit more "Retro" instead of the not-so-classy grasses of the VX defaults.

Spoiler: instructions

1) Save Target as the picture below.
2) Copy the picture using paint, photoshop, etc.
3) Paste it on to the TileA2 over one of the grasses.
4) Install in Resource Managar on your game and your ready to go!

It really doesn't look like grass, more like sand paper! I think it could be because of the very light green going through it!

Have you used it on a map?
It's a lot more realistic, which si what I was going at.

It doesn't look like it can tile very well. Why are there brown lines in the corners?

I put that tileset on the old one, and it had a little bit of dirt, but if you put it on a map it does not show...

Nice try, but sorry, it's not very good. You can easily tell where one tile ends and another starts. One of the sides is a bit lighter than the surrounding green. If you look at the RTP grass, you can see how well they blend together. Try and use that as an example when making the edges.

Yeah the pain about tiles is that you have to make it so they tile easily and blend so you can't tell they are tiles.
